I used to hate Colby but he actually seems quite likeable when he´s not doing his gimmick. This is probably some kind of heresy but I like his real personality more than Masvidal and definately more than Usman. But even if it´s just an act, it´s still him talking all that shit, a bit like in Kurt Vonneguts book Mother night where the main character is pretending to be a nazi and does propaganda for them.

But this is the first fight where I´m not only wanting to see him destroyed and don´t even really care who wins as long as it´s a good fight so maybe he has a point. I would not pay to see someone I hate to get their ass kicked though. (even if I was otherwise paying to watch fights.)

I don’t like Colby, but I love Kurt Vonnegut! Never read Mother.

Not sure I’ll get to watch it. My normal group all has plans (that or they are saying that and I’m no longer invited). I’m trying to talk a buddy into going to BWW.

    Chinese website:

UFC: Jorge Masvidal viciously exposes Colby Covington after “Street Judas” and “Journeyman Jorge” comments
    • Masvidal: ‘Remember when Tibau whooped your a** so hard in sparring and you came crying to me?’
    • Covington faces welterweight champion Usman on Sunday with Masvidal saying he would step in if Dana White opens his chequebook
Jorge Masvidal viciously exposed Colby Covington after the former training partner called him “Street Judas” and “Journeyman Jorge” at a UFC press conference on Thursday.

The Cuban-American Masvidal took to Twitter to expose Covington's training days, recounting embarrassing tales and saying the controversial fighter “sold out”.

Covington will fight for the welterweight title against champion Kamaru Usman at UFC 245 on Sunday, with fans calling for a bout against friend-turned-enemy Masvidal should he win.
“Remember when I used to let you sleep on the couch? You were crying [because] those Brazilian girls punked you and I put you on,” the 35-year-old Masvidal tweeted. “I fed you, clothed you and you sold out for 7 likes [.] Sad that's all you got for a title fight. 13th disciple is a b**** #theresurrection.”

Masvidal, who used to train with Covington at American Top team, fell out with “Chaos” after claiming he did not pay their coach.
“Remember when your a** got tried on [South Beach] and me and Ike had to save your a** from some real goons f****** you up? When [former UFC lightweight Gleison] Tibau whooped your a** so hard in sparring and you came crying to me asking if it's ok to be scared like a b****? #thecrucifixion.”

Covington has yet to respond to the claims but will likely take up the feud after the Usman fight.

“Gamebred” Masvidal is a nominee for the promotion's fighter of the year after knocking out Darren Till and Ben Askren earlier in the year, finishing with a “BMF belt” win against Nate Diaz in November. He has offered to step in if either Covington or Usman cannot make the fight – but only if an unprecedented payday is on the cards.

I think the main and co main have the highest chance of the titles changing hands, but wouldn't be shocked if GDR managed to win.

I don't really have a fav in the main event, but rooting for Holloway and Nunes to retain. I don't think Colby will shut up unless he's completely and utterly dominated; lord help us if it's a split decision or there's some controversy.

There are a lot of fighters who´s personalities I don´t really like but as long as they are not real assholes I wish them all the best, I´m quite introverted, kind of a hermit and not really competitive person so it´s hard to relate to the guys who seem to take themselves too seriously. Nothing wrong with that, just nor my thing. And then there are some who I really hate and just want to see them loose. Doesn´t matter if it is a bad fight, some kind of fluke or even an injury as long as they seem to get punished for their bad deeds. The list of those people might be completely irrational and for whatever reason Colby seemed to get off it.

Vonnegut is one of my favourites as well, can definately recommend Mother night.

Sorry to hear you might not get to watch. Sometimes people stop inviting you once you stop drinking, has happened to me and couple of my friends as well, but hopefully that is not the case with your group.

kevin iole broke the salaries i think? he posted it 3 hours earlier so I think they used him for the post.

interesting to see those numbers BEFORE the event but based on no win bonuses for the main,it won't matter in that fight

Colby Covington is going to make more guaranteed money than Jose Aldo, Amanda Nunes, and Max Holloway. Are they basing that on weight?
