A lot of times when children don't get their way, they'll sit down in the middle of the mall, toy store, etc. I bet we'll see a temper tantrum from these people next!

Sit-ins are ways for people who don't have power to disrupt systems peacefully as a way to bring attention to the issues they're concerned about. For federal legislators to engage in such behavior is embarrassing beyond my ability to communicate.

I guess they got cranky and tired of sitting so they went home to continue to not work.

I'm for restricting terror suspects from purchasing guns, but a lot of the opposition comes from the perfectly valid criticism that a citizen so denied firearms access has no means of challenging his inclusion on the terror watch list. The Democrats could have acknowledged that flaw and drafted a new version of the measure to address it.

That's not the response we got, unfortunately.
