Has a hiring of a coach before getting a GM ever gone well for a team? Also does that give Urban more say then the GM? A first time nfl HC with GM power typically doesn’t go well.
There have been teams that have done this. The 9ers did this and I think the Browns did too. Khan said he would be hiring the HC and GM at the same time so my guess he already has his GM picked out and will announce either at the same time as Meyer or shortly after.

Mariota upped his value when he played well when Carr got hurt. Someone will reach out to the Raiders for Carr.
