Duran/Leonard only fought once before Duran went off the deep end on coke and partying and Duran won that fight.

Leonard was one of my favorites too. His fight against Marvin Haglar was a strategic masterpiece. Using in and out movement and flurrying to win the last 30 seconds of the round. Leaving that last impression in the judges mind.

I just love the Sugar Ray/Duran fights because they both went toe to toe the entire time

Sugar Ray is a great boxer in the clinch and off the ropes and Duran is a great forward pressure boxer

those two elements usually make for great fights

kind of like Roy Jones Jr/Toney

just a constant war with opposing styles

Before the fight I thought Hagler was going to eat Leonard's lunch.
I was picturing that skinny little Leonard that won gold at the Olympics versus the unstoppable wrecking ball that was Hagler.
Leonard came into that fight a little bigger than I expected. Wasn't as fragile as I thought he would be.
I thought Leonard won it by point fighting and strategy.

    One of my favorites.

These assholes were gargling so hard on Taylor's balls they missed a great fight.
Referring to Taylor's punches as solid shots and calling Chavez's punches pawing. Lol

The lost art of round stealing, it separates the wheat from the chaff at the top end of the sport, would love to see more of it in mma but mma tends to be a bit less strategic than boxing a lot of the time.

Floyd did it well too, not always in the last 30 seconds but at some stage in the 2nd half of every round he’d do something outstanding & leave the judges with no choice but to award it to him. His style towards the end of his career was to have twelve aces up his sleeve, one for every round, he personalized twelve little tricks for every different opponent & use them at the right time in every round, fucking genius.
