    Download speed: 25 mbps
    Upload speed: 2.67 mbps

Now that I am looking at it, I am sure I pay for a higher download speed than 25 mbps

Top tier Comcast in the Memphis area isn't too bad. I used the SpeedTest app on my phone to do the test.

I moved this past weekend and when I called to transfer my home internet, I was informed that I was eligible for a package upgrade from 300 MBPS to 1 GBPS. Now, previously, on speed tests, I was capping out around 100 MBPS or a little more even with the 300 MBPS package. They came and installed my modem yesterday and while I've never used Fiber Optic (I daydream about the day I can get that shit), this shit is still amazingly fast. Netflix used to load 1 percent, 2 percent, 3 percent, 25 percent, 75 percent, 93 percent, and then go. Now, it's 1, 2, 99, go all in a split second. I downloaded a movie onto my iPad last night, file size 385 MBs and it took less than 20 seconds. A song is done instantly onto my iPhone. This shit is great. Speed tests are ranging from 300 to 350 MBPS on my iPad and phone. The tech said that the new speeds are ahead of the technology and as technology catches up, the speeds will steadily increase to the 1 GBPS cap.

So today, I called their business class side for my shop. I've been paying $193 for 25 MBPS download speeds for the past 3 years and figured if they just changed their residential side, the business side is good too. What irritated me was what I was paying for for 25 MBPS, I could have been getting 200 MBPS and saved $43. They changed the rates but you don't get notified. So I have to have a new modem installed to take advantage of new speeds at my shop to which they're gonna send someone out. That said, I wonder why business class isn't eligible to be as fast as residential.
