This Jamaican restaurant in my town has this thing called the "beer club," and it's a bunch of imported brews. You write your name on this card with all the beers on it and they keep track of it. There are 60 beers on the card. When you have drank 30 of the different beers, you get a t shirt. When you have drrank 60, you get a "das boot" mug. When you have drank every brew the bar offers, they put a plaque on the wall with your name on it. I've been keeping mine since tallied up since this past summer, and I've tried a lot of great beers.

One of my favorites is probably a Tap Room No. 21. It's a good transition beer for someone who drinks only American beer and wants to try something darker/thicker.

The Tap Room No. 21 Amber Ale is THE BOMB also.

Bavaria and Bohemia--those were 2 EXCELLENT beers.

    Golden monkey

    Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

    New Castle

    Hobgoblin

Low Down Brown (brewed in NC)

These are some of the brews I've tried at the restaurant/bar, and I have fallen in love with the imported beers. I decided I'd try the new Budweiser American Ale over the weekend. It is a great beer--perfect for after a meal imo. It's not too heavy, but it's dark and has that nice hoppy after taste.

What about the other beer drinkers?

I really only drink beer when I eat Mexican Food.

I always drink Dos Equis there.

I rarely drink beer otherwise, but when I do, I'm not picky.lol

    I'm a Jim Beam man.

Well occasionally I stray away from the norm and try different imports but I usually stick to my usuals....

    - Miller Lite
    - Shiner Bock (several different brews. the 99 year anniversary one out right now is great!)
    - Lonestar
    - Coors
    - Dos Equis (With Mexican food primarily and lime is a must!)
    - San Pacifico (Another great Mexican beer)
    - Kiran Ichiban (With Japanese food like at a Japanese Steak house and sushi bar)
    - Rolling Rock

I'm not sure if they carry Lonestar and Shiner heavily where all you guys live. I'm in Texas and those are both brewed here in Texas. Shiner Bock has many different brews so I think you guys should check it out.

It's a Texas beer but they carry it other places. They make different brews... Shiner Bock (original), Shiner Light, Shiner Blonde, Shiner Hefeweizen, Shiner Black Lager. They also do seasonal beers like Shiner Summer Stock for example. Right now they have a special brew celebrating the 99 year anniversary. Damn im really craving a Shiner now! lol

shiner bock is made by miller now. its pretty much on the level as domestic shit beer. go buy a six pack of Orval at a liquor store. It will change your life. All blessed and handmade by monks, wonderful taste, great bottles, and your supporting a monastery.

Umm no where did you hear that? Miller does not own Shiner and if they do then that is news to me. More info on Shiner... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spoetzl_Brewery

99% of the time Busch Light or Miller Lite

unless I am at a concert or event of somesort that doesnt offer either of those I will drink coors light or bud light as a last resort.

budweiser disgusts me, those new beers with the lime allready in them are gross as well imo

    Depends on what you like.

Lagers are brewed with bottom fermenting yeasts at cooler temperatures and tend to be lighter and cleaner tasting.

Ales are brewed with top fermenting yeasts at warmer temperatures and tend to be more full-bodied.

    edit: according to wikipedia answers

I like them both honestly. However, I've had some ales and lagers that I didn't enjoy. Actually right now I'm drinking one of my gf's Sweet Water Hummer White Ale and it taste like ass.
