Can I just say it’s a little concerning how you keep calling Dana, Daddy.

They created the interim title for the very same reason.

Very thorough and impressive breakdown. Thank you. Anybody have an equally thorough counter argument?

This is the only thing I take issue with. I know Dana said something like this, but across the board the UFC pays it's fighters better than Bellator contract wise.

*I want to add that fighters need to be paid more than they are, but the UFC is paying better, especially the lower card guys, then Bellator.

global brand?? like china, that was a disaster, Japan?, they fail to reignite that market, Rizin is trying. Brazil is not doing good right now, the failed in the Latin market and Mexico. What foreign market is doing great right now? Even the north american market is in the dumps, viewership is down ppv's are down.

fighters are making more than they did 10 years ago but compared to what the ufc is making its a disgrace, they lost their sponsors, they are making shit with the Reebok deal, a deal they had zero input in. How much revenue share did the fighters get from the television rights deal?

Emil Meek(9–3) just made 15k, in 2009 Jake O'Brien(11–3) made 13k, so fighters with similar records and only 2k difference and that was 9 years ago and at-least Jake O'Brien could have made money from his sponsors.

I have met Dana a few times and there is a long story that goes with the "Daddy" thing. Long story short, "Daddy" Dana is the product of a conversation I had with Ariel Helwani @ UFC 171 in Vancouver. I agree I went overboard with it. I was annoyed last night with Till getting the fight over Covington because he would be ready in September vs waiting until Early November. I have minimal faith in Till's ability to cut weight on somewhat short notice for him, although since most people are doubting him at this point, he probably will make weight. (my feeble attempt to unhijack this thread... Sorry OP !)

In general though, as someone who has watched UFC from the beginning (yes I was one of those nerds that grabbed UFC #1-3 on VHS back in the early 90s and was privileged enough that I was able to go to UFC #4, 171, and 4 other non-ppv events), the evolution of the total product while improved in production and overall money, has gone to the shit side with politics, kissing Dana's ass, horseshit rankings and bad fights just to fill cards. Another area I did not touch on that is significant in my opinion is the amount of fights cancelled due to injury also. The UFC is by far and large losing the #'s battle here to boxing as well.

Don't get my bitching wrong, I like the product overall and don't want to see it go by the wayside, at the same time I think they need to get their shit together and go back to the plan that made them successful:

    Market your fighters
    Market your fights
Put together the best fights possible
If you must do a "Novelty" bout, do so with a hell of a lot less frequency

I think the best way to articulate my thoughts in the simplest forms is: I think the UFC should be more old school UFC and less WWE 2.0, as that's how I see where they are going.

I think you give White too much credit,

he's basically a big talking head.

So you don’t consider UFC global? Interesting..
I stopped reading once you agreed with me

So he gets no credit for any success, because he’s a talking head.

Bu we want to blame him for stuff, even though he’s just a talking head?

You can’t have it both ways

Till looked MASSIVE next to TWood. They didn't look like they were in the same weight class at all.

With Till missing weight in his last fight and the UFC stripping the interim belt, if Till misses again it'll be a shit show.

he did, but I don't think he's going to beat Tyron. he doesn't get enough credit for how well rounded he is, and his fight IQ is great
