The thing I posted doesn't look accurate, looking at Wiki,

    and

Wouldn't this be 829 days of not defending before being stripped (Using Oct 2, 2011 to Jan 6, 2014).

Just watched it, found myself cheering for Silva half way through.

Had to pause it and smack myself.

Has Whittaker even defended the mw belt. He fought for interim, then he was promoted to champ, the Yoel missed weright. And the shit from last night.

You can't blame him for Yoel missing weight. They fought 5 rounds and Whittaker won (although I think i had Yoel winning the fight..., which i guess is a different issue.)

Convenient bureaucracy; don't forget, Kevin Lee fought with staph.

Not blaming him or anything like that. Just thought about it. He’s fighting, not his problem if they don’t make weight, he still gets paid.

The more I think about it the more I’m convinced the whole thing was a have, I don’t think Rob or Kelvin were fit to fight, instead of canning their main event days out from the fight they strung it out so as not to effect ppv sales on an already weak card.

a lot of US commissions would have pulled Kelvin or at least made UFC and Whitaker sign some sort of waiver. Who knows what kind of rules Austrailia has.
And the Aussie crowd would take their boy (Whitaker) being pulled for injury a lot better than Kelvin either being pulled for being a human STD or Whitaker refusing to fight.

It's worth pointing out that Kelvin has not made weight and won in the USA since a split decision win over Rick Story 5 years ago.
In fact, only one of his MW bouts have been booked for the USA and that was the loss to Weidman.

Might be nothing. Might be a calculated effort to keep Kelvin from having to face stricter commissions rules and regulations regarding weight, medicals, etc.
