Seems like a UFC move... TJ goes down and takes the belt from the flyweight champ to de-ligitimize the division before they close the doors.

This is how it should be. I thought they'd make TJ fight this at his current belt weight. But he can now win this fight (if he does) then have two straps. unfortunately he will not be able to defend it if he wins because they'll dump the division first I'm sure, so he'll be like many others

DC is the only one with a chance to win two belts and defend both whiile holding them. but winning the belt itself in two divisions has been done. Defending both belts once you have them has never been done

I think if you’re closing the 125 division, you let the 125 champ move up. Cejudo literally has nothing to gain in this match, and win or lose, he’s still going to be without a belt soon. I mean, I understand that TJ is probably the bigger draw and the more proven commodity, but it’s still pretty unfair to Cejudo.

Obviously the UFC is banking on Dillashaw taking this.

maybe, but it's also a way to let him attach 2 belts without risking anything at the higher weight.

even if he lost moving down it doesn't affect his belt currently. it's a safe bet and no lose for him.

At the very least I would hope Cejudo gets compensated well for the fight.

What amount would be worth losing you title, even with a win? Granted Cejudo doesn't really have a choice in the matter, but still.

The more he talks the more douchey he sounds. I really never cared for him even when he was riding high at Alpha Male. I even gave him the benefit of the doubt during the split as the truth normally lies somewhere in the middle of disputes and he even came off half decent in the editing of TUF but god damn Dillashaw has an amazing ability to one up himself in the douche department.
