Stat about boxers that surprised me

    statistically according to the American Association of Ringside Physicians association, fighters with their father in their corner have a higher mortality rate.

    I would have never thought that. You'd think the kid's fathers would be quicker to pull them out. but i guess not.

    i imagine the mortality rate thing has to do with starting younger. If your dad is in your corner, he's probably in boxing and if he's in boxing, he probably got you into boxing at a young age and you've likely been hit in the face your whole life.
