Here is Zydrunas Savickas making us all look like pussies
Unless my math is wrong that is 946 pounds
LOL the fucking clamps came off...
He still has nothing on a gorilla.
I don't know I think it's less than that.
Unless I'm missing something, I counted 16 45lb plates, and in the second lift, those extra weights can't be more than 2 x 25lb plates, if not 10lb.
I'm guessing he lifted about 810lbs...but like I said I might be missing something.
Regardless, thats ridiculously insane. Out of every exercise I do, I do the least weight on deadlifts. I'm too afraid of injury, so I just do enough weight to strain to about 10 per set.
Edit: Just realized, the weights might be different sizes where he's lifting.
1 kilo = 2.2 pounds, No?
Love how the camera shakes when he puts the weights down
Yeah I think they are 25kg plates, so 55lbs each
thats crazy. Pretty sure Olympic bars are made to handle MAX 1000lbs too, so he's basically pushing the limits.
I saw a guy at the gym doing 4 x 45lb plates on each side the other day and thought that was nuts...
That's no biggie. I heard GG did that at the grand opening of his new GNC store.
With one hand.
It was actually with my cock only.
I can do that! woot for 3-5
This guy is wearing a deadlift suit which will give you about 275lbs on your lift...
This guy i train with, he is 48 or 49...is one of the best Raw deadlifters in the country for his age...all he is using is a belt here...which is just for support...some reason the vids are not embedding
This is fred who also trains with all the guys...he is 70 years old..lifetime drug free as are all the lifters at baystate
Fuck man I can't imagine doing that much. I like to lift heavy, but when it comes to deadlifts I never push it. I'm always afraid im going to pull my back. I usually just keep it at about 275 for about 10-12 reps per set.
This motivates me.
I can't deadlift to save my life. I don't even try it cause my form is bad and I hurt my back doing power klines (spelling) one time. What are the benefits of deadlift? Aren't squats more functional? I started lifting a little again. I want to keep my strength up but I want it to be functional since I grapple. I love when a body builder comes in and you just chew them up when you're about half as strong as them of course a guy who deadlifts probably had more functional strength then the guy from the gym who focuses on biceps.
