Laser removal and it usually takes a few sittings but it's super fast. Price varies on size of tattoo being removed.

Don't lie to him Wilbur, tell him the truth. That it hurts worse than getting the tattoo. Remember how bad it hurt when you had the one removed from your taint?

I actually don't think it's all that bad. Basically same thing as getting the tattoo. Although the one specifically on my spud I don't remember much of that night.

Yeah they wouldn't give me an estimate last time I called. Basically it's patternistic from shoulder blade to shoulder blade and 6-7 inches of higher.

The better half is about 80% through getting a tattoo removed. Lots of black. Painful and time consuming process. Blisters like a bitch for days after treatment. Easily ten times worse and more expensive than the tattoo.

Had one done on my leg, it was quick for me anyway. I did not think it was really that bad quite honestly. I would compare it to getting hit with a rubber band I guess

I guess it all depends on how big the tattoo is and how much colour is involved. She had a large straight black, filled in panter removed.

Had some more work done on the coral reef leg sleeve on Monday. I think I'm at a stopping point for now. Money is definitely the limiting factor here otherwise I would keep going. Eventually I would like to extend it most of the way up my thigh. The artist does want me to come back in one more time just so he can go through the original coverup part again since some of the original tattoo is starting to show. He told me when we started that the actual coverup might take 2 or 3 passes, but I'm honestly really happy with how well it has turned out with just the one. Unless you know it's there or are looking for it, it's really not very obvious at all.

    Anyway, pictures:

Like everyone else said Lasers are the way to go.

Yep - although we are skipping the green (since many medusas turn into a giant green smudge). I think Erin said Red, Orange, and Aquamarine but I will figure it out on the 29th. I would have gone back sooner but I had a week in Peru and didn't want to travel with a fresh tattoo.

Yep. Wife had a tattoo lightened enough to coverr and swore that it hurt far more (although the time in pain is far less). Cost-wise we had a place that wasn't horrible

Thanks. The new shop I've been going to is fucking killer. It is co-owned by Erin Chance (the artist I am working with) and Teresa Sharpe (who won one of the seasons of Best Ink - which was Oxygen's knock off of Ink Master)

Erin charges $175/hr but does an all day rate of $1200. So I am $2400 in so far.

Finally finished up my arm. We didn't get a good shot of the inside after it was finished though.
