Now I know what you're thinking: "TS is getting carried away here," but fuck it. I wasn't a firm believer in Weidman until after he outstruck and completely dominated Silva in their first fight, and now after he completely crushed and decimated Anderson Silva last night I'm finding it very difficult personally to not call him the best fighter in the world. This guy is only 29, only has 11 fights and has completely crushed and practically retired the worlds best combat sports athlete to ever walk the face of this earth.

Just out of curiosity, who thinks Weidman can take Jones out?

Jones is just too big for Weidman IMO.

JJ's reach and size is to much here, while I think Weidman is great I still think Bones is on another level. I picked bones to stomp Silva as well.

Jones isn't on another level; they are equals in skill but Jones is bigger and l8nger so id have to pick him though id be rooting for Weidman and wouldn't be surprised if he won.

I picked Jones, too long & cagey,he can pick shots & play the waiting game with a smaller opponent & catch them when they try & engage.

So if guys are picking Jones because he's so much bigger than Weidman...doesn't that make Weidman better than Jones p4p?

Probably,I think The Chris is the more well rounded fighter, not sure of his wrestling creds (I know he's pretty good but possibly not as good as JJ) but for me his striking & BJJ looks a lot better than Jones'. Could never write him off in a fight against anyone,he's near the top of the heap for sure.

Weidman has not dominated a division the way JJ has

I think Chris would beat the fighter that Jones was against Gust, but not any of his other recent fights. The way Chris handles Vitor will say a lot for a common opponent .

...ah. I'd guess it would come down to how you interpret pound for pound.

"Dominating a division" where you have double digit length advantages doesn't add up to me. I look at pound for pound as who would win if fighters were the same size.

I just want to see Chris get by vitor first. I do believe p4p Chris is better. If he fought the JJ that fought Gus then I could see him winning in dominant fashion. They both are extremely confident individuals.

I think the struggles against Alex showed that his size and reach are at least part of Jones game. I think you need to be the same size as Jones to beat him, can take heat for that but the one fight he had against a similar body size was a razor thin win.

Can't wait for Gus to lay down the beating again if Tex doesn't do it first.

Boner could be a track star the way he ran away from that rematch.
