I know ESPN is going bankrupt because all of the cord cutters. Wouldn’t surprise me if they sold some rights

I don't think ESPN is going bankrupt so much as they need to resize and reorg to compete with all the other media platforms that exist today. They may not need to carry the same number of sports writers or personalities, they may need to go back to a centralized update center and being a sport showcase outlet.

They're backed by Disney ffs and their brand recognition is the highest in the US. It's a matter of either scaling back some of their content or finding a better model for viewership.

That's not even the issue. They are paying Billions a year, and the income they get in is by TV subscribers, and more and more cut each day.

All my points still stand. With more media delivery options ESPN will need to adapt and that means resizing. It's not just subscribers it's also advertisers and finding new ways to deliver ads to eyes.

People act like ESPN is going off the air tomorrow, they have a shit ton of redundant programming and any number of 'personalities' that do not warrants 6 figure salaries. What they're doing is smart but it matters little if they don't solidify their delivery for a new generation.

They need to be the premier provider in streaming sports content and making that a reality is going to be arduous. I see no doom and gloom over cord cutting, audiences have never been bigger...

    Just not on TV.

You should be able to stream all network tv sports games. They are getting paid by advertisers and the more people that can watch the better it is for them.

The fact that I have to stream my Chicago Bears every Sunday is bullshit.

I liked Max a lot when he first started but the more he talks, the less I like him. He’s highly intelligent but thinks everyone else is stupid and doesn’t catch on to the fact that he says the same exact shit, every single day.
