Dominick Cruz shares timeframe for Octagon return, discusses potential opponents
Dom Cruz is awesome, always pulling for him. Wish there were more guys like him in the sport.
Damn I forgot about him. I'm not sure I want to see him come back and have another big injury again.
I honestly thought he was retired.
I'm a fan, but he had nothing for Cody. And I don't think a rematch with TJ goes well either.
I agree. I like him and would be fine with him hanging up the gloves and being a full-time commentator.
I think he’s more intelligent than Cody, so Im slightly interested to see if he could make the necessary adjustments for a rematch, but don’t need to see him clowned like that again.
as long as it gets Dom off the mic, he should fight
He should stick to cleaning rugs.
You mean people that always get injured
Better than the ones who just talk and don’t fight while healthy.
His best days are past.
Future past, or past past?
Past, past and past.
he's 33 years old, lost one fight in the last 10 years but won 13 in that same time frame and is 22-2. in his last 6 fights, 4 of them earned him an 'of the night' bonus. how do you figure his best days are past him? based on current numbers he's got easily 4 years left or more.
I didn't say he was done,
he's older and has had many injuries.
It adds up.
in today's age 33 is still plenty young. shit they're calling young 30's prime. His injuries have plagued him his entire career.
My point is he hasn't done anything to indicate he's not still there and not still easily a contender. until he starts losing i sure as hell wouldn't make that claim.
he's an anomaly for me. I really like the guy, he's a fantastic analyst and great in commentary. he's an exemplary fighter and one of the best ambassador's in the sport. When he lost to Cody i gained more respect on how he handled it in the presser than any fighter I've ever seen lose.
shit the technical proficiency of how he breaks down his own loss 10 minutes after it happened blows my mind
All that being said, it's difficult to watch him fight because it's ugly, not smooth or fluid and it's awkward looking. but that's exactly what he wanted and watching him explain it on JRE made it perfectly clear to me.
Dominick should be one of those fighters that's remembered to be well ahead of the game when he fights
Maybe with todays medical enhancements,
back in the day 33 was the backend of your prime.
back in the day 30 was old.
He's had 4 fights in almost 7 years,
I don't have high hopes.
But I wish him well, I do like him.
Less wear and tear.
All them injuries are not wear and tear free.
