I saw it lastnight. It is fucking amazing. THe way he breaks the 4th wall is perfect, action is great, comedy is great. I put it in my top 5 of Marvel movies. It lived up to expectations and then some. Ryan Reynolds was made for this role.

So fucking good. This is how all super hero movies should be. True to the character all the way. I can't wait to see it again. This movie had everything. Comedy, sex, and violence. Can't ask for much more than that.

Saw it tonight great movie and well worth checking out.

Reynolds did wonders for his career with it and deserves a lot of praise for pushing so hard to get this in theatres and with the R rating.
Loved how the portrayed Colossus and Negasonic.

You know a movie is going to be good when people are already laughing about the opening credits

Gonna try to see it again today. I don't know if DeadPool is really all that good or if it's just that it exists in a vacuum of shitty comedies, poor writing, and tired ideas.

But I intend to find out!

Yeah I saw it Friday and it was really good. I don't know if they could have done it any better than they did. Completely true to the character, and really unlike any other movie I've seen. I can't wait to buy it when it comes out.

I thought it still held up to a second viewing, though there are bits I'm less a fan of like the whole origin sequence and the fire extinguisher fight.

Doubtful Fox has the rights to Death but I think she'd of fit perfectly in the film as a counter to Wade's corporeal love interest. I saw more of the romance in the second viewing and that's one of the movies strengths, you really buy the motivations at play.

I love the treatment of Colossus, from the effects to the voice acting to just his character. Outside of DeadPool himself, Colossus is the best part of the movie for me.

That was my exact same sentiments the second viewing. Still loved it, but loved all the non-flashback stuff more. But they had to do it, otherwise people would never understand the messed up face.

It's the only part of the film that made the character come off as generic and ordinary. I understand why they did because being a comic book movies means you're going to use certain tropes. If you don't then it's not special when you deviate from them. At the same time you on a second viewing, knowing where the movie is going, it seems like a completely different part of an earlier version. I still appreciate the scope of the film and the fact it's stands on its own, sequel or no-sequel it's a complete movie.

I think Cable will be a great foil for DeadPool especially if they bring in time travel and Apocalypse, which they can. All the serious, plot driven elements you can put on Cable's shoulders while Wade run in opposition. I just hope they're able to land someone who does Cable justice. You don't need a look-a-like, get someone willing to add an interesting perspective first and foremost. He's probably unavailable for consideration, but first and foremost on my list would be Tom Hardy. He's just revealing himself to be a brilliant character actor, and that's what you need.

Finally saw it this weekend. The movie was awesome. Best comic to movie so far. That role was made for Reynolds.

    well fuck.

Although, all indications is that Reynolds was a key piece in developing the first script, so I'd assume another director might not matter much, as the character and the script will be much more important to this franchise than the other Marvel/DC hero movies.
