I don't know much about Canada's comedy scene, but there's more than a few guys that are utterly amazing comics and very successful in Canada, but have little to no presence in the US.
Sean Cullen and Jeremy Hotz are a couple that come to mind.
Sounds like they are all from Vancouver. I haven't heard of any one them either. Sean Cullen is a really funny dude.
What's the venue? It's probably worth checking out. Some of the best sets i've seen were from comics I'd never heard of.
It's at a local conference centre. It's not very often we get professional comedians up here so I always go see them when I get the chance. The last one I saw, Sterling Scott, had me rolling the entire time.

Y'all seriously need to watch Bill Burr's new special on Netflix. Hands down one of the best comedy specials I've ever seen.
