    Horrible news.

My take, not different from most: Bourdain improved the world through continuously sharing his wonder and appreciation of it. A true loss for the rest of us. He also spoke out on the behalf of the disenfranchised, marginalized, and those without power.

    Disappointing.

I'll have to look at his wiki page. I've heard the name a few times but know nothing about him.

Cook, author, travel and cooking tv show host.

All of his tv series are great. Travels to foreign destinations to eat the food you are often scared to eat and hang with the crowds you are likely scared to hang with.

A great example of his work:

For a punk turned chef, 1977 is more fun to look back on than it was to live through.

I don’t know much about him. I’ve been depressed but never suicidal. I can’t imagine leaving my kids like that. It was his choice though.

Was listening to an npr story about the media covering suicides of famous people. I think it should be covered minimally. They said people will commit suicide thinking if that person was famous and wasnt happy then how can I be happy. Would be interesting to see suicide trends after reporting of famous people committing suicide. I had a buddy committ suicide. It sucked.
